Graduation Quotes

Is someone in your family graduating? These graduation quotes will serve as words of advice, reminders and loving encouragement as the graduate leaves school and embarks on his new phase of life.

I made a card for my cousin Dawn when she recently graduated from university. I wanted to give her some words of encouragement and inspiration. I couldn't find the appropriate words, so I dug out quotes that I believe will serve her in her new journey ahead.

Quotes are timeless, they express wisdom much better than I could have said, so I chose a few quotes and printed them out on my handmade cards. I wish that these will be words she can rely upon in future.

Whether you scrapbook, make cards, or just want to use these graduation quotes for someone you care about, you'll find a few gems to share with your graduate!

Enjoy these graduation quotes!

During my second year of nursing school our professor gave us a quiz. I breezed through the questions until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was a joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before the class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our grade. "Absolutely," the professor said. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved.
